The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) has announced the appointment of Angela Irvine as chair of its West Midlands regional committee.

Angela, who is sales director for The Bletchley Group (“Bletchley”), takes up the role at the UK’s leading general insurance organisation having previously served as its deputy chair.

She will be assisted by deputy chair, Peter Robinson, of Prizm Solutions.

Angela is a chartered insurance broker with more than 30 years’ industry experience at a senior management level. Formerly of Adler Fairways, Angela also founded her own independent insurance business, Stratford Insurance Office.

She was also elected president of the Birmingham Insurance Institute in 2023 having previously acted as its deputy president.

Angela said: “I’m honoured to be starting a new position as chair of the BIBA West Midlands regional committee. I am taking over from the wonderful Jo Stevens Cert CII who comes to the end of her tenure after four amazing years.

“I will be ably assisted by Peter Robinson who will bring his passion and experience to the role and am also looking forward to working with Juliet Williams and all of the West Midlands Committee, as well as members from across the region.”
